A native of small town East Texas, Lauren Davis has had a love for music for as long as she can remember; some of her earliest memories include rocking out to 90s alternative in the backseat of her mom’s car.
After graduating from high school and receiving a BBA in Business Management from the University of Texas at Tyler, Lauren attended law school at the University of Texas at Austin. While in law school, she took courses in entertainment and music law, was a staff editor of the Texas Review of Entertainment and Sports Law, and served as Communications Director for Law Students for the Arts. As Communications Director, she helped organize LSFTA’s annual pro bono clinic, in which local attorneys gave free consultations to musicians and artists in need of legal advice. Lauren also served as a legal intern for the Texas Music Office, a branch of state government that helps further the music industry in Texas.
After graduating from law school and sitting for the Texas bar exam, Lauren made the move to Nashville in Fall 2016 to pursue her lifelong dream of working in the music industry. Fate led her to MV2 Entertainment and a tour of their Music Row office on her birthday. An impromptu interview with General Manager Tony Harrell resulted in a meeting with the full team and the job offer she had been waiting for since leaving Texas. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys traveling, volunteering at the Nashville Humane Association, and attending live shows.
